Jason E. Fritz

Jason is researcher and consultant in Washington, DC. His areas of expertise are conflict policing, the use of land power in contemporary conflicts, and war game design and facilitation. Prior to research and consulting career, Jason served as an armor officer in the U.S. Army with the 3d Infantry Division, with whom he deployed on three tours of duty to Iraq.  He is a senior editor at the web magazine War on the Rocks, where he writes on the U.S. Army, strategy, and civil-military relations.  In August 2014, he will matriculate as a doctoral student at American University’s School of Public Affairs in their Department of Justice, Law and Criminology. Jason is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he received his degree in Mathematics.
